Arthur "Red" G. Reinhold

Arthur G. "Red" Reinhold, age 87, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at New Hope Bay Assisted Living in Bay City.

Arthur was born November 18, 1929, in Bay County, to Arthur and Helen (Kundinger) Reinhold. After graduating from Sebewaing High School, Arthur attended and graduated from Michigan Technological University in Electrical Engineering, where he played football and was in Officer Candidate School. He then joined the United States Navy where he was an Lieutenant J G and oversaw the degaussing station in San Diego, California. After the Navy he moved back to Sebewaing where he worked as a superintendent for Sebewaing Light & Water for 38 years. Arthur was a member of the Sebewaing Sportsman's VFW, enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre with his buddies, watching football and baseball, going to gunless deer camp, attending Thursday evening services at New Salem Lutheran Church, and especially making wine and tending to his grapes. He was an active member of the Michigan Municipal Electric Association, American Waterworks and New Salem Lutheran Church.

Arthur is survived by his children: Tanya (Jim) Rock of Bay City, Arthur (Judi) Reinhold of Rochester Hills, and James (Jami) Reinhold of Branch; step children: Fr. William Kunisch and Eric (Jorri) Kunisch; grandchildren: Jeffrey and Steve Kunitzer, Pamela Carrne, Martin Blackmer, and Deanna Fuller, and Joy Oakes, Benjamin, Michael, Nathaniel, and Carl Reinhold; step grandchildren: Ella and Andrew Kunisch; great grandchildren: John, Jeremy and Avanna Fuller, JoeRan, Katherine, and Stephanie Santos, Ella and Mira Kunitzer, Jackson and Ethan Carrne, and Brooklyn, Levi, Madilyn, Henrik and Patrick Reinhold.

Arthur was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cynthia Blackmer.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, October 6, 2017, at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church.
