Arthur H. Mapes, Jr.

Arthur H. Mapes, Jr., a resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born on August 16, 1936 to the late Arthur Mapes, Sr. and Mary (Kler) Mapes. After proudly serving in the US Air Force, Mr. Mapes began his career in the banking industry, serving as management all the way up to vice president. He was a long-time member of the Kiwanis Organization, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and eventually retired in Alabama. Arthur is survived by his sons Michael (Renee) and Thomas (Heather) Mapes, and three grandchildren, Christopher, Elysia, and Jessica Rigelhof. Besides his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Nancy and daughter Susan. A private graveside service has been held at East Dayton Cemetery.
