Arthur "Mike" Putnam, Sr.

Arthur "Mike" Putnam, Sr. of Caro, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his home. Mike was born February 27, 1942 in Caro, the son of the late Clifford and Edna (Nokes) Putnam, Sr. He was united in marriage with the former Janet Jacob on December 31, 1961 in Caro, and she preceded him in death on November 19, 2004. Mike was employed at Mayville Molding, HDC and Caro Plastech Manufacturing. For many years, Mike was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed crafting, sports, TV westerns, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mike is survived by two children and their spouses, Arthur "Mike" & Stacey Putnam of Deford, Tina & Claton McConnell of Caro; six grandchildren, Jenny, Jasson, Cody, Zachry, Ryan, and Keerey; eight great-grandchildren; his dogs, Pug A Lug and Bear-Bear; siblings, Clifford A. Putnam, Dorcus Smith, Joyce & Arthur Stark, Claudette Talcott, Gladys & Jim Bills, Leroy Putnam; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Arthur was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry; and two grandchildren. In keeping with Art's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
