Arthur R. Terrill, Jr., age 83, passed away December 15, 2023 following a brief illness.
Arthur was born April 21, 1940 to the late Arthur and Doris Terrill. He married Carol Damm on December 31, 1960. Carol retired from Michigan Sugar in 1994 and Art retired from General Motors in 1995. Upon retirement they decided their home would become mobile and spent their time traveling, primarily west of the Mississippi River. On July 4, 2009 Carol passed away unexpectedly. After losing his travel partner, Art opted to spend his winters in Las Vegas.
Art and Carol were dedicated members of FMCA Family Motor Coach Association where they frequented multi-state conferences together, often accompanied by their family.
In addition to traveling, Art was an avid golfer in his earlier years, and throughout his lifetime enjoyed going on cruises, frequenting flea markets alike with Mexican border towns to find good deals. He also enjoyed attending festivals and fairs.
Arthur is survived by his two sons: Matthew (Ann) Terrill and Patrick (Chris Dutcher) Terrill, both of Bay Port; grandchildren: Kevin Collon, Jennica Collon, Christopher Terrill and Erika Terrill; great grandchildren: Ryan Spencer, Megan Spencer, Izabella Collon, Chloe Collon, Zhander Gotwalt and Hudson Terrill; sister, Doris Eile; sister-in-law, BEverly Damm; brothers-in-law, Robert (Karen) Damm and James (Dodi Krueger) Damm; and a niece and nephew.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol and grandson, Matthew Terrill, Jr.
Memorials may be made out to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A private memorial service is being planned for a later date.
