Athena Karel Fougerousse

Athena Karel Fougerousse, 61 of Dearborn Heights, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 while visiting at her mother’s house.

Athena was born February 2, 1962 in Dearborn to Clifford and Nancy (King) Brown.  She graduated from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn in 1980.  She married David Fougerousse on May 21, 1983 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dearborn.  Athena worked as a receptionist in a real estate office.  She enjoyed woodworking and reading.

She is survived by her husband David; daughter Krystal; mother Nancy Brown; siblings Dean, Duane, Ardene and Daren.  She was preceded in death by her father Clifford Brown.
