It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Atlas Paul Burns on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, after twelve precious days on Earth. Atlas was born on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Saginaw, the beloved son of Keeley and Jacob Burns.
Although his time here was far too short, every moment of his life was filled with love. He was surrounded by the warmth of his parents and deeply cherished from the very beginning. Even before he was born, he made his presence known with his constant movement and active little personality. That same energy carried into his brief time here on earth, showing his parents that he already had a little bit of a spicy side and a personality all his own. He gave them precious memories they will forever hold close. He knew nothing but love throughout his life and will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.
Left to cherish Atlas’ memory are his loving parents, Keeley & Jacob Burns; grandparents, Duane (Elechia) Baur, Shelley Baur, Patricia (Wesley) Ross, and Kip Byers; great-grandparents, Bruce Baur and Margaret Ritter; step-great-grandmas, Judy Ross and Paula Burns; aunts and uncles, Sean (Casey), Samantha (Megan), Benjamin (Alysa), Allysha, Katherine, Amanda (Curtis), and Danielle (Zac); and many cousins.
Atlas was preceded in death by his uncle, Travis Baur; great-uncle, Victor Kulaszewski; great-grandparents, Marilyn Baur, James Ritter, Roy Burns, Robert & Katherine Byers, and Merle & Charles Dinnan; and step-great-grandfather Alvin Ross.
A funeral service for Atlas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Kevin Kaiser officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Atlas will be laid to rest at Cross Lutheran Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family, c/o Keeley Burns.
