Audrey “Maud” Damore, 92, of Caseville passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Scheurer Health of Pigeon.
Maud was born December 8, 1929 in Detroit to the late Richard and Betty (Simko) Myers. She grew up in Centerline and raised her family in Roseville and Sterling Heights. After retiring she moved to Caseville. She enjoyed ice skating, watching sports, birdwatching, gardening, especially growing flowers in her yard and riding her bicycle. She attended St. Roch Catholic Church. She enjoyed visiting with her special friends Kathy Karle and Mariane Briesmeister. Maud was able to continue living in her home until her passing thanks to her grandson Christopher Stahl moving in with her and helping her remain independent.
Maud is survived by her children Michael (Lynne) Damore of New Baltimore, Sheryl (Dan) Borninski of Troy and Pam (Duane) Maas of Spruce; grandchildren Tracy (Ann), Jodi (Randy), Jeremy (Jen), Katy (Eric), Christopher, Amy (Wayne), and Zack; great-grandchildren Jackson, Zander, Avery, Emme, Grayson, Ella, Owen, Levi, Tyler and Reese; sisters Joanne Roy, Dolores Fortune, and Barbara (Larry) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam, her sister Donna Childs, brothers-in-law Louis Roy and Norman Fortune.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. Interment will be in St. Roch Catholic Cemetery. There will be a memorial mass at 11:00am Sunday, November 13th at St. Mary Our Lady Queen of Families in Centerline. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
