Audrey Marie Rinnert

Audrey M. Rinnert, 85 of Elkton, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Audrey was born December 3, 1932 in Bay Port to the late Floyd and Bessie (Kuhl) Deming.  She grew up in Bay Port and raised her family there before moving to California in 1960.  She returned to Michigan in 1971 and worked at General Cable and various local homes for the elderly as a nurse’s aid.  She was devoted to her Christian faith and her Baptist Church.  She was a Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher and enjoyed singing to praise her Lord.

She is survived by her children Gloria (George) Boyden of Oregon House, CA, Connie Bradley of Sacremento, CA and Scott Plonta of Bad Axe; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and sisters Elaine Engelhart of Bad Axe and Sandra (Mike) Romain of Bay Port.  She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, daughter Julie Helms, son Donald Plonta, brother Lester “Butch” Deminy and sister Naomi Bach.

A grave side service will be at 10:00am Tuesday, July 31 ^st at Colfax Twp Cemetery.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
