Audrey A. Vollmer

Audrey A. Vollmer, age 93, of Pigeon, passed away September 18, 2023.

Audrey was born in Bay City on February 12, 1930, to Wilbert and Amanda (Gerth) Strauch. She married David Vollmer on November 26, 1949 at St. Francis Borgia Cathoic Church in Pigeon. Together they owned and operated Vollmer Ready Mix in Pigeon from 1958 to present. They enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.

Audrey is survived by her children: Candace (Joseph) Watrobka of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rebecca (Richard) Vollmer of Lansing, Jenny Vollmer of Caseville and Scott (Charla) Vollmer of Lee's Summit, Missouri; grandchildren: Cara & Gregory Scovill, Alex (Amber) Lubeski and Noah Vollmer; sister, Diane Smith of Rochester and sister-in-law, Dorothy Gruehn of Sebewaing.

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home, 538 S. Beck St, Sebewaing, MI 48759 from 2-9pm.

The funeral service will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home at 11 am.

Burial will be at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Pigeon.

Memorial donations may be given to Thumb Octagon Barn or the Pigeon Historical Society.
