Barbara Ann Austin

Barbara Ann Austin, age 83, of Unionville, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn.

Barbara was born in Cass City on July 31, 1942, to Arnold and Maxine (Thane) Bell. She attended Columbia Corners School. On May 21, 1957, she married DeWayne M. Austin at the Colling Nazarene Parsonage in Unionville. DeWayne preceded her in death on April 13, 2017. Barbara helped her husband on the family farm and devoted most of her life caring for her daughter, Becky. She enjoyed researching family history, watching gameshows, going out to eat, car rides, and being around her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her children: Terry (Robin) Austin, Tim Austin, Cindy Austin, Becky Austin and Kevin Austin; step daughter, Michelle (Matt) Sting; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, David (Phyllis) Bell; sister, Sue (Jim) Heckman; and sister-in-law, Priscilla Bell.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters: Janet Bell and Donna Austin; brothers: William and Garry Bell; and 2 infant children: Christine & Richard Austin.

Visitation will be Monday, November 3, 2025, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc. in Sebewaing, from 10am-2pm. Burial will take place privately at Hickory Island Cemetery in Akron Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Toni and Trish House in Auburn.
