Barbara "Chris" Crosby

Barbara "Chris" Crosby of Watrousville, age 71, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Chris was born May 25, 1944 in Flint, the daughter of the late Wendell "Bob" D. & Cassie (Kilbourne) Stoddard and was a lifelong Watrousville resident. She was united in marriage with Ralph "Sandy" Crosby on November 2, 1968 at the Fairgrove United Methodist Church. Chris was employed as a bookkeeper for the Crosby Trucking Company for 10 years and a stay at home mother for her children. Chris was a dynamic person who loved life and most importantly she cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, caring for her lawn and collecting painted tea pots. Chris is survived by her loving husband of forty seven years, Sandy Crosby of Watrousville; their two sons, Todd D. Crosby and his special friend, Deanna O'Dell both of Vassar, Lee & Rebecca Crosby of Caro; five grandchildren, Jackolyn, Kade, Rylee, Avery and Alaina Crosby; her sister-in-law, Maryann Stoddard of Flint and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special dog, Sugar Babe. In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by one grandson, Reid D. Crosby in 2010; two sisters, Carol Stoddard and Hope Greig; one brother, Dick Stoddard and one brother-in-law, Tom Greig. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Watrousville United Methodist Church with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at the Juniata Township Cemetery.
