Barbara J. Dennis

Barbara J. (LaPratt) Dennis of Caro, age 72, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at her home. Barb was born April 16, 1946 in Caro, the daughter of the late Mearreal and Geraldine (Honold) LaPratt. She was united in marriage with Bernie Dennis on February 18, 1994 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. Barb was employed as an attendant nurse at the Caro Center for twenty-four years, retiring in 2000. Barb enjoyed crocheting, singing, playing piano and organ, gardening, camping, and especially loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Christopher Parish and the Caro Moose Lodge. Barb is survived by her loving husband of twenty-four years, but the couple had actually been together thirty-five years, Bernie Dennis; daughter, Susan LaPratt and Jay Hecht of Reese; step-sons, Mitchell Dennis of Caro, Bruce & Shelly Dennis of Caro; grandchildren, Sarah & Justin Klein, Grace & Jay Hecht, Taylor Dennis, Courtney & Roland Gomez, Whitney Dennis, Randy Dennis; great-grandson, David Killian; siblings, Wayne & Beth LaPratt, Carolyn & Bill Blaylock, all of Caro, Marilyn & Stan Grzemkowski of Fairgrove; sister-in-law, Sharon LaPratt of Caro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Colosky and MaryLou Morrison; brother, Jim LaPratt; grandson, Brandon Gage; and granddaughter, Emily Dennis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at Juniata Township Cemetery in Watrousville.
