Barbara A. Ensign

Barbara A. Ensign of Caro, age 62, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. Barbara was born February 15, 1954 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Ronald and Evelyn (Shepard) Camp. She was raised in Bay City and graduated from Caro High School. Barb was trained as a medical assistant and employed at Caro Community Hospital. On June 28, 1995, Barbara Ann (Camp) Lohr was united in marriage with Lee Ensign in Covington, Kentucky. Lee preceded her in death on October 1, 2010. Barb enjoyed being around people and was loved by those she came into contact with. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, going to craft shows with her BFF, Patty Woodard, and caring for her pets, Tiny and Ellie Mae. Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Daniel & Crystal Lohr of Caro, Kimberley Schember, of Bay City; grandchildren, Nicole Proper & Katie Spencer of Bay City, Joseph Swartz, serving in the U.S. armed forces, Allyson Androl & Shawn Tester of Saginaw, Katarina Lohr of Savannah, Georgia, Oceanna Palmer of Front Royal, Virginia, Alex Sylvester of Caro, Daniel Lohr, Jr. of Caro, Seth Francis of Bay City, Hannah Lohr of Caro, Nate Lohr of Caro, and Gabe Folkerstma of Caro; one great-granddaughter, Vyva Tester; a brother, Troy Camp of Auburn, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to Patty, she enjoyed a special friendship with Theresa & Andy Smiechowski of Caro, and Eric & Kelly Spaulding of Caro. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
