Barbara Sue Jacques of Caro, age 66, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, January 5, 2018. Barb was born July 3, 1951 in Caro, the daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Martin) Jacques. She was employed for several years as office manager at Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Caro. She was a Girl Scout leader, ran a junior bowling league at Brentwood, and enjoyed cross-stitching and scrapbooking. She is survived by two daughters, Laurie Hartman and friend, Charlie Starks, of Avoca, Michelle Hartman of Caseville; four grandchildren, Tyler, RanDee, Jessica and Samantha; four great-grandchildren; brother, John Jacques and his wife, Bonnie; sister, Brenda Jacques; three "adopted" sisters, Brenda Perkins, Sharon McCreedy and Alice Geister; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Jacques; grandson, Justin; and great-granddaughter, Sarah. In keeping with Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at the Caro American Legion Post #7 on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro at a later date.
