Barbara Jochim

Barbara Jean Jochim, of Fairgrove, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma. She was born in Sanilac County to the late Albert and Belle Hill. Barbara was a Cass City High School graduate. In 1985 she was united in marriage to Lyle Jochim in Caro. She and her husband lived in Caro for a time and eventually moved to rural Fairgrove. Barbara was a homemaker. She was very lucky with slots and enjoyed traveling and knitting. Her most recent trip was to the Blue Grass Festival in Kentucky. She was a past family member of the Moose Lodge. She is survived by her husband, Lyle; three children, Dale (Lynn) Darling of Clifford, Darrell (Susan) Darling of Maple City, Darla Darling of Grand Blanc; a step-daughter, Debra (Harvey) Reaver of Caro; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings. A memorial service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Smith, Caro United Methodist Church, officiating. In accordance with Barbaras wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Caro Community Hospital Endowment Foundation.
