Barbara Jean Main

Barbara J. Main, 80, of Bay Port, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.

Barbara was born April 27, 1941 in Goodrich to the late Douglas and Jean (Eaton) McAra. She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1958. On January 13, 1962 she married Marvin Main in Grand Blanc. In 1973 they moved from Goodrich to farm in Minden City . In 1980 they moved to Hubbard Lake and in 2015 moved to Bay Port to be closer to family.

She enjoyed cooking and previously had her own catering business, Main Event Catering. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her husband Marvin; sons Brian (Loretta) of Minden City and Scott (Debbie) of Pigeon; grandchildren Hope (Jesse) Klaska, Angela (Mike) McKenzie, Maci Main, Chad (Lisa) Main, Heather Main, Shauna (John) Lautner and Jason (Aimee) Main; great-grandchildren Brandon, Dominic, Caleb, Gage, Larkin, Korbin, Klay, Hailee and Finley. She was preceded in death by her son Robert and brother Larry McAra.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville with Rev. Chris Suggitt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Noon to 6:00pm Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
