Barbara Mead

Barbara Mead of Cass City, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 8, 1962 in Cass City, the daughter of Paul and Donna (Kelley) Matthews. Barbara was employed at Trelleborg Automotive in Sandusky, and attended the Caro Church of the Nazarene. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and crocheting. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Mead of Caro, and Barbett Hornbacher and her husband, Joshua, of Sebewaing; two grandchildren, Makena Bristol of Caro, and Jordan Hornbacher of Sebewaing; her parents, Paul and Donna Matthews of Cass City; one sister, Beverly Clink and her husband, Dale, of Caro; the father of her children, Alan Mead of Caro; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Caro Church of the Nazarene at a later date.
