Barbara Jean Moss left us suddenly on October 23, 2015. She was born July 26, 1932, the daughter of Eugene and Muriel (Wynn) Moss. Barbara graduated from Detroit Commerce High School in 1950, and went on to Highland Park Community College. She became a buyer for the J. L. Hudson Company and later worked for General Motors in the Payroll Department until her retirement in 1992. Barbara was very active in the Eastern Star. In 1949, she began her fraternal life as a Rainbow Girl and went on to serve in many positions in her chapter, county, and on the state level over the years. Barbara Jean was very close to many of her Eastern Star sisters and brothers. Barbara is survived by cousins, Jackie (Dennis) Rippett and David Preston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by cousins, Willis, Glen and Bob Travis, Jim Wynn, Beverly Geisen and Sally Preston. During her life time, Barbara had many pet companions. She also leaves behind a special rescue dog, Molly, who was the apple of Barbara's eye. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Birmingham First United Methodist Church in Birmingham with Rev. Lori Haller officiating. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Birmingham First United Methodist Church, Masonic Pathway in Alma, or the donor's favorite charity. Service Information Date: Saturday, November 14, 2015 A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Birmingham First United Methodist Church in Birmingham with Rev. Lori Haller officiating. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills.
