Barbara Ann Nim

Barbara Ann Nim, 73, of Pigeon, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 under hospice care.

She was born June 11, 1945 in Minden, West Virginia to the late Pete and Virginia (Lightfoot) Munoz.  She graduated from Detroit’s Western High School in 1963 and worked for S.S. Kresge before getting married.  She married Allen Nim March 31, 1978 in Detroit.  They moved from Detroit to Huron County in 1993.  She worked locally at Season’s Change until retirement.  She enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Skidway Lake.  She loved her family and everyone she met became a friend.

She is survived by her husband Allen; children Andrew (Sherrie) of Mt. Pleasant, Aaron (Jennifer) of Tennessee and Allison of Ferndale; grandchildren Alyssa, Breanna and AJ; sisters Mary (Steve) Koss of Oak Park, Rebecca (Gary) Ferguson of White Lake and Lisa (James) Watts of Westland.  She was preceded in death by her sister Linda Harris.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Kinde, with Rev. Larry Loree Sr. officiating.  Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.  Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Friday at church.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the services.
