Barbara Ellen Schipinski

Barbara Ellen Schipinski of Caro, age 79, passed away on Monday April 5, 2021 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Barb was born March 11, 1942 in Huron County, the daughter of the late Leo & Harriet (Sosnoski) Bordine and graduated from Bad Axe High School with the class of 1960. On November 6, 1965, she was united in marriage with Robert Schipinski and the couple has cherished their fifty-five years together. Barb held various jobs through the years, but most recently worked for the Lear Corporation in Marlette, retiring after many years of service. She was a fun-loving woman that adored time spent with family. Barb was always laughing, and always ready for the next shopping trip. Her spare time was often spent bowling and listening to music, especially Elvis. More recently, she enjoyed spending time with her faithful companion, Lucy, card games, puzzles, and Sudoku. Left to cherish Barb's memory are her husband, Robert Schipinski of Caro; two daughters and their husbands, Rebecca & Daniel Fowler of Millington, Brenda & Tim Gottschalk of Harrison Township; four grandchildren, Robert and Miranda Baker of Kentucky, Emerson and Atticus Fowler of Millington, and another grandbaby expected in May; two brothers, Ross Bordine and his wife, Alyce, and Gary Bordine; and a niece, Stacey (Vince) Bevins. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kathy Bordine; and many aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Burial will follow the service at East Dayton Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
