Barbara Ann Tetil, age 69, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. She was born August 5, 1942 in Cass City, the daughter of John & Helen (Polheber) Mika. Barbara graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1960. She was united in marriage with the love of her life, Richard Dale Tetil at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Cass City on September 1, 1962. They came to Caro in 1972 from Saginaw. Shortly thereafter, Barbara was employed at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She retired after twenty-five years in 1997 as the facility dietician. Barbara was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and was a member of the K of C Auxiliary. During her free time, Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, traveling, golfing with her husband and also in the ladies league, and the Red Hat Society. Barbaras husband, Richard, passed away in January of 2011. Surviving are their four sons and their spouses, Thomas Richard & Lynn Tetil of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, James Tetil and special friend, Cathy Mumby of Caro, Bryan & Dawn Tetil and Scott Tetil all of Ft. Wayne Indiana; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson and another great-grandson due in December; Barbaras mother, Helen Yirak of Reese; four brothers and their wives, Richard & Kathy Mika of Luzerne, John & Janice Mika of Shabonna, George & Sharon Mika of Caro, Robert & Romina Mika of Tacoma, Washington; two sisters and their husbands, Lorraine & Chuck Kurtansky of Reese, Linda & Chuck Anklam of Port St. Lucie, Florida and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Mika.
