Barbara H. Vliet

Barbara H. Vliet age 77, of Stevensville, MI (near St. Joseph), died Sunday morning, August 7, at Tendercare, Cass City with her daughter at her bedside.

She was born June 13, 1934, in Dixie, West Virginia to the late Lorenzo and Johanna (Kirk) Davis and moved to Michigan in her youth. On May 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ira J. Vliet in Dearborn. He preceded her in death June 9, 2001.

Barbara was a retired real estate agent, she enjoyed sewing and flower gardening. She moved to Huron County several years ago for health reason and to be near her daughter.


Surviving are a daughter, Rita (Jim) Parsch of Elkton; a son Larry (Deb) Vliet of St. Joseph; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.


There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time a memorial service is being planned in Stevensville at a later date.
