Barbara Joyce Wills, 82, of Ubly, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.
Barb was born on July 11, 1942, to William and Helen (Smith) Russell in Detroit. Barb was an adventurer at heart. Always trying the next thing. She was a student of the first graduating class of Laker High School. She enjoyed dancing, skiing (water and snow), boating, cooking for many people, her many pets, and being a great friend. She and Tom owned and operated Ty’s Bowling Lounge in Elkton for 14 years. After selling, they moved to Las Vegas where they enjoyed flipping houses and playing Bingo. They then moved to Orlando, FL, before settling in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Finally moving back to Michigan after 27 years.
Surviving is her husband Thomas Wills; son Raymond (Rocky) McGee, Orlando, FL, daughter Rhonda Ulfig, Ubly; granddaughters Vanessa Ulfig, Saginaw, Kelsey (Derek)Roggenbuck, Bad Axe, and Madeline (Jesse) Vogel, Minden City; sister Cheryl Atkinson, Elkton, brothers Ronald Russell, Howell, and Frank (Deborah) Russell, Elkton; brother-in-law Gary (Joan) Wills, Port Austin and sister-in-law Dede Russell, Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by brother Arnold Russell, niece Arnel McKay, and sister-in-law Marilyn Russell.
A graveside service will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 6th at Riverside Cemetery in Elkton followed by a luncheon at the Franklin Inn in Bad Axe. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
