Beatrice (Bea) E. Anklam, 100, of Pigeon went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Huron County Medical Care Facility, with her loving children sharing her last days with her. She was born March 7, 1925, to the late Twilton Mathew and Sarah Mae (Grigg) Heron. Bea attended Caseville Elementary School and transferred to Pigeon High School where she graduated in 1942. She was united in marriage to Calvin C. Anklam on February 8, 1947, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bay City. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1998.

Bea was employed at Kraft Inc. of Pigeon for 12 years and prior to retiring there, she was also a bookkeeper at Don Brown Electric and Hengy Ford Sales of Pigeon. Additionally, she was a Mary Kay consultant for over 20 years. As an active member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Bea also served as president and secretary of their Women's Society. She loved going to the Pistons and the Detroit Tigers games. She bowled for many years and also enjoyed golfing and playing cards, as well as spending time with family and friends. Bea was active with the State of Michigan Rural letter Carriers Association Auxiliary and was honored with "Women of the Year" award.

Bea is survived by one son, Clark C. (Gloria) Anklam of Freeland; two daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Rathje of Pigeon and Randie Clark of Bad Axe; 8 grandchildren, Lisa (Ed) Plucinski, Michelle (James) Macdowall, Ami (Aaron) Park, Kami (Russell) Genet, Joy (George) Lopez, Robin Rathje (Rachel Bondy), Bradley (Kathy) Clark, and Heather (Mark) Goff; one step granddaughter, Kelly Nixon; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosalie Joan Heron; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Calvin, she was preceded in death by; three brothers, Thomas, Francis, and Clare Heron; seven sisters, Leona Kreh, Isabelle Kreh, Sara Jamison, Sybil Heron, Esther Stirrett, Eva Grigg, and Barbara Diller; and son-in-law Ronald Clark.

Funeral Service for Bea will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Pigeon, with Pastor Steve Neuman officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 8, at the Ransford Funeral Home - Pigeon, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Pigeon, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Huron County Medical Care Facility for their support and special care, and to Pastor Steve Neuman for his countless visits, prayers, and words of comfort to Bea and the family. Memorials may be made to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church.
