Beatrice "Bea" Garza

Beatrice "Bea" Garza, 58, from Sebewaing, departed this life surrounded by family on August 4, 2025. She was born in 1967 to the late Manuel and Evangelina (Flores) Garza.

Surviving Beatrice are her siblings, Richard Garza (Diane), Leonard Garza (Peggy) and Anthony Garza (Shellie); her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bea spent a good portion of her life in the hospitality industry. If you ever visited Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, chances were high she was the one serving you a beverage, and she did so with a smile big enough to light up the room. Later, as her parents aged, Bea left the service industry and devoted her time and attention to her parents and other family members. She would make sure that her mom was able to visit various members of the family and was a regular presence at family functions and gatherings. They often traveled to various parts of Michigan to spend time with loved ones.

Bea loved many things in life – fashion, beauty, sweets, music; but there were two things that she loved the most in the world – her beloved dog, Coco, and her family. Bea loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, from the time they were babies through the time they started having babies of their own. Her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews were the joy of her life, and though she was not their mother, she loved them just as fiercely as if she were. Bea had the type of personality that brought laughter, light and joy to any room she was in. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home. Inc. from 11am-12pm, with a service at 12pm. Brad Haist will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to Autumnwood of Deckerville.
