Beatrice Jones

Beatrice Jones, age 101, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Linwood Residence in Linwood.

Beatrice was born November 10, 1914, in Pigeon, to the late Norman and Bertha (Heck) Kain. She married Henry Jones. He preceded her in death in 1955. Beatrice honorably served in the United State Coast Guard. She worked as a nurse's aid for the Caro State Hospital for many years.

Beatrice is survived by her sons, Terry (Gloria Jane) Jones of Kawkawlin and Wayne (Patricia) Jones of Clarkston; grandchildren: Jeffrey Jones, Dustin (April) Jones, Jennifer (Dave) Jones, Chris (Rich) McGowen, Lisa (Tom) Michael, Jacqueline Riojas and Duane Jones; great- grandchildren: Trevor Jones, Tyler Jones, Joey McGowen, Maggie McGowen, Quinton Riojas, Kaly (Shane) Kraatz, Brendan Michael, Jack Henry Michael, Merranda (Kurt) Jones, Victoria (Chris) Olar, Brianna Jones, Ashley (Josiah) Jones, Emily Jones; great-great-grandchildren: Josiah and Carmen Diaz, Jayson Newland, Hayden Vermeesh and Odin Olar; sister, Eleanor (Toots) Uchman; niece, Pat (Tony) Enderle and several other nieces and nephews that will fondly remember their Aunt Bea.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her son, Duane Jones; daughter-in-law; Margaret Jones, daughter; Sandra Jones; sister, Stella Errer and brother, Stanley Kain.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, at 10am.

Memorial donations may be given to Linwood Residence or the Diabetes Foundation.
