Beecher Ray Dheel

Beecher Ray Dheel, age 75, of Elkton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Cass City, Michigan. Beecher was born in Kentucky to the late Henry & Verna (Kimbler) Dheel on July 3, 1949, and was a 1968 graduate of the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint. He married Jessica Greene on March 14, 1987, and the couple spent more than 38 years together. She survives him. In his free time, Beecher enjoyed wood carving and fixing cars. He was an outdoorsman who loved deer hunting as well as fishing. Beecher was a people person who lived to make his friends and family laugh, and who treasured his time with his loved ones more than anything else.

Beecher is survived by his wife Jessica Dheel; children Sarah (Randy) Hardy of Caseville and BJ Dheel of Elkton; grandchildren Beecher Jr., Sammy, Lily, Sophia, Hunter, Corbin, Rayna, Otillia, and Josh; siblings Charles “Pete” (Kay) Dheel, Debbie Maxwell, Henry Dheel, and Chester Dheel; brothers-in-law John Greene of Colon Allen (Diane) Greene of Brown City; and sister-in-law Winter (Kevin) Proctor of Cadillac; and nieces and nephews Lisa, Charles Jr., Michael, Bobby, Teresa, Charlie Jr., Kevin, Jennifer, and Kevin II; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, countless other family members, and friends.

Beecher was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Verna Dheel; nephew Shawn Maxwell; father-in-law Lyle (Eva) Greene Sr.; and brother-in-law Lyle Greene Jr.

A funeral service for Beecher is planned for Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 1:00pm at Champagne Funeral Chapel, 7356 W. Michigan Ave., Pigeon, MI. Visitation is to take place at the funeral home on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and Saturday from 12:00pm until the time of the funeral. Burial is to follow at Watertown Cemetery in Watertown, MI, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 1:00pm.
