Belinda Beatrice Ross

Belinda Beatrice Ross, age 74 of Essexville, formerly of Bay Port, passed away July 8, 2023 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility.

Belinda was born in Pigeon on June 23, 1949 to William F. and Frances M. (Wilfong) Weeks.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Robert W Ross; daughter, Katherine Suzanne Champagne; infant son, Christopher; son in law, Kevin Champagne; her sister, Willow Torka; nephew, Robert Torka; and brother in law, Gary Maday

Survived by her stepson, Daniel (Tracey Swift) Wagle; grandson, Jamie Champagne; her siblings: Camille (Mike) Hawks, William (Terry) Weeks, Caroline (Gary) Maday; and many nieces and nephews.

Belinda was born in the thumb of Michigan, but lived and grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School and attended Michigan State University. She became a cosmetologist and worked at Jacobson's Hair Salon in Saginaw for many years before opening her own shop, Belinda's Hair Salon in Saginaw. Belinda's shop was a wonderful, fun place to gather and chat. She was a great listener and friend to her customers. She and her husband Bob loved to take road trips, visiting family in Michigan and North Carolina and exploring many sights across the US. For entertainment they would take turns reading to each other while in the car. Clive Cussler and Harry Potter novels were among their favorites. Family will gather at her graveside at a later date. She will be buried in the New Bay Port Cemetery in Bay Port, MI.
