Bernadette Clare Camarata

Bernadette Clare Camarata, age 94, of Caseville, died Friday, November 24, 2006 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe after a lengthy illness.

Bernadette was born August 22, 1912 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Alice (Carbeaneau) Krause. She married John Camarata on October 2, 1936 in Ferndale. She moved to Caseville permanently in 1972. She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church. She loved music and especially playing piano.

She is survived by her children, James (Maryann) of Sterling Heights, Richard (Gladys) of St. Clair Shores, and Barbara (Rosaire) LaPorte of Standish; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2001.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at the funeral home. There will be a rosary at 7PM Monday.
