Bernadine Jacques

Bernadine M. Jacques of Caro, age 88, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center in Mayville, following a period of declining health. The former Bernadine Daniels was born May 5, 1924 in Detroit. She was united in marriage with John Jacques on March 14, 1942 in Caro. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2000. Bernadine was a career homemaker and mother who loved gardening and enjoyed music around the house. Bernadine is survived by eight children and their spouses, Gary Jacques and his companion, Jennifer Richards, of Caro, Sandy & Keith Lippowiths of Caro, Richard & Faye Jacques of Metamora, Karen & Jerry Snider of Caro, Marlene & Earl Gohs of Caro, Yvonne & Dr. Afonso Ferreira of Caro, Rodney “Joe” Jacques of Caro, Vicki & Keith Johnson of Caro; her daughters-in-law, Margaret Jacques of Snover and Carol Jacques of Caro; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; her best friend of many years, Luella Green; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Carl and Harold Jacques; two grandsons, Carl Jacques, Jr. and Rock Campbell; and her siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Gregg Mayberry officiating. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Bernadine Jacques Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Sandy Lippowiths, 205 W.
