Bernard "Bud" Tait

Bernard J. “Bud” Tait, age 82, a lifelong Caseville area resident, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw.

Bud was born May 28, 1929 in Pinnebog to the late LeRoy and Florine (Pechette) Tait. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1947. On November 26, 1949 he married Jeanine Osborne at St. Felix Catholic Church in Pinnebog.

A proud farmer, Bud enjoyed working on equipment with Jerry. He was on the Bay Port State Bank Board of Directors for 26 years. He also enjoyed having an early cup of coffee with his friends at Walt’s Restaurant in Caseville.

He is survived by his wife Jeanine; sons John (Kay) and Tim (Coiene) of Caseville, daughter Diana (Marty) Davenport of Three Rivers; grandchildren Jed (Kristan) and Jolene Tait and Bryan Rohr; great-grandchildren Austin, Landon and Bryce Tait and Kashton Enos; sister Kathryn Leitch of Pinnebog; and brothers Dave (Sue) Tait of Caseville, Leon (Phyllis) Tait of Kawkawlin, and Robert (Norma) Tait of Caseville.

He was preceded in death by his son Tom and brother James.

A private memorial service will take place at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. Burial will be in St. Felix Cemetery, Pinnebog.
