Bernetta Jane Stec

Bernetta Jane Stec of Caro, age 86, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Bernetta was born December 12, 1929 in Port Hope, the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Woodke) Finkel. She was united in marriage with Walter Stec on June 7, 1952, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2000. She was employed as an inspector for thirteen years at Burroughs in Detroit, and then became a stay at home mom and farm helper as needed. Bernetta was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. She enjoyed Bingo, scratch off lottery tickets, yard sales, going to casinos, and being with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernetta is survived by her children and their spouses, Steve Stec of Fairgrove, Ray & Lisa Stec of Caro, Shirley & Morrie Molnar of Caro; five grandchildren, Travis Stec, Misty & Mark Schultz, Wayne Stec, Marissa Stec and Brandi Stec; five great-grandchildren, Yasmine, Lizzy, Tristan, Hunter and Ashton; one sister, Arlene Harbin of Hartford; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Carol Ann; and two sisters, Betty Kinney and Lucille Dombrowski. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
