Bertha "Marie" Lawson

Bertha "Marie" Lawson age 86 of Caro, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021 at her home. Marie was born June 8, 1935 in Clearwater Township, the eighth child of Samuel Henry and Bertha May (Lavanway) Sutton. Marie graduated from Rapid City High School. She was a wonderful homemaker and worked as a front desk clerk at the Palm's Motel in Baytown, Texas. Marie was a member of the Eagles and the CB Club. She loved to garden, can, watch her beloved Detroit Tiger's, and for many years was a Girl Scout leader. Marie was quite the socialite and very active at the Senior Commons, crafting and playing bingo. Marie leaves to cherish her memory, children, Bonnie Sauceda, Richard Bradley, and Kathy Lawson; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren with one on the way. Marie was welcomed home to heaven by her parents, Samuel & Bertha; sons, Gerald Allen Bradley and Charles Edward Lawson; seven siblings; and son-in-law, Morris Brown. In keeping with Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a burial at Indianfields Township Cemetery will take place in the spring.
