Beth Lynn Skinner

Beth Lynn Skinner of Caro, age 71, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 31, 2025. Beth was born February 6, 1954 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Lyle and Elizabeth (Miller) Holik. She attended Caro High School and later went on to dedicate her life to hard work and service. Over the years, Beth worked as an independent house cleaner, for Ellington Township Cemetery, and at Satchell’s Christian Retirement Home.

On May 2, 1987, Beth married Robert “Buck” Skinner in Caro, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter in their nearly thirty-eight years of marriage. She found joy in the simple beauty of life; watching horses graze in the fields and dragonflies dance in the sunlight. More than anything, Beth cherished time spent with her family, whether at home or traveling together, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Left to cherish Beth’s memory are her husband of thirty-eight years, Buck Skinner; three children and their spouses, Michelle & David Keehn of Mayville, Anthony & Mary Hayden of Washington, and Gordon & Sara Skinner of Caro; seven grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Gary & Kathy Holik of Caro and Randy & Ellen Holik of Caro; and sister-in-law, Carla Holik. In addition to her parents, Beth was proceeded in death by a brother, Steve Holik.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Beth’s son, Rev. Anthony Hayden, officiating. Beth’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family, c/o Robert Skinner, or the American Cancer Society.
