Betsey Campbell

Betsey Campbell, age 72 years, of Caro, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Covenant Health Care-Cooper in Saginaw. She was born on August 8, 1936 in Fairgrove to the late Ralph and Charlotte Broadworth. She was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County. The former Betsey Broadworth married Robert E. Campbell on December 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1997. Betsey was a loving mother and homemaker, devoting her life to her family. She enjoyed K of C Bingo and the companionship of the players. She is survived by three daughters, two sons and their spouses, Charlotte (Tiny) Dow of Saginaw, Roberta (Ralph) Parish of Grand Blanc, Rock Campbell and Mary Pemberton of Caro, Tom (Karen) Campbell of Caro and Lisa Lewicki (Al Vargo) of Caro; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her special friends, the Vargo family, Joann Broadworth and Tashawna Kaatz. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Roema Lee Campbell and Regina Anne Vasquez; and her best friend, Virginia Strand. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Charles Rondo officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
