Betty Bauer, our sister in Christ, passed from the Church Militant to the Church Triumphant. We thank God for all of His blessings to her in this earthly life and all of the blessings we received through her. Visitation will take place Friday at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m.
Betty A. Bauer was given life by her creator and was born on June 14, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, the child of Jacob and Amelia (Miller) Seibel. On July 10, 1938, she received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On May 6, 1952, she publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed. She received the precious gift of the Lord's life-giving body and blood. On August 30, 1958, she received the gift of a beloved companion in her husband, Raymond J. Bauer. They were blessed with the gift of children: Dean Bauer and Daniel (Becky) Bauer and grandchildren: Alec, Ethan, Meredith, and Michael. God also blessed Betty's life with many special people as she served God in her vocations at home, church, and the community. She grew up here at St. Paul Lutheran, Unionville, and served our Sunday School and Cradle Roll for many years. For the past several years she worshipped and was part of the community at Pilgrim Lutheran, Essexville, and was blessed by Pastor Hutter and so many others. She also blessed, throughout her life, and was blessed by her sister, Donna Sting, and several nieces and nephews. Finally, on July 26, 2025, God blessed Betty with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for Betty, our sister in Christ.
