Betty Jean Browell

Betty Jean Bowell, age 85, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 3, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Betty was born November 4, 1929, in Scioto Furnace, Ohio, to the late Alfred and Anna (Carpenter) Donohue. She married Thomas Browell, Jr. on December 19, 1970. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2001. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Betty enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking, quilting, and spending time with family and friends.

Betty is survived by her four children: Donald (Janice) Pobanz, of New Mexico, Diana (Dale) Nelson, of Akron, David (Barbara) Pobanz, of Unionville, and Dale (Susan) Pobanz, of California; brother, Oscar (Betty) Donohue; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Warren Donohue, Florence Rawlins, Ruth Spriggs, Faye Werschky, William Riddlebarger, Paul Donohue, Raymond Riddlebarger, Lloyd Donohue and Albert Donohue.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Region 7 and A & D Home Care and Hospice, Teresa Varela and Dave Dutcher.

A memorial service will take place Friday, September 11, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
