Betty Jane Fritz

Betty Jane Fritz, age 69, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016, at her home.

Betty was born March 23, 1947, in Sebewaing, to Frank and Mildred (Schneider) Lorentz. She married Larry Fritz on June 24, 1967, at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She enjoyed attending New Salem Lutheran Church where she was part of the flower committee for many years. She enjoyed watching THE Detroit Lions and Tigers, playing crossword puzzles, watching her granddaughter play sports, and cooking and baking with her granddaughter.

Betty is survived by her husband, Larry; children: Sherry (Trevor) Kain of Sebewaing and Jerry Fritz of Sebewaing; granddaughter, Jessica Fritz; siblings: Judy Weigold, Barbara Weisenbach, Pat (Howard) Adams; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathleen Lorentz.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home is Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, December 22, 2016, at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church or to the family.
