Betty Jane Koch

Betty Jane Koch, age 78, of Gagetown, passed away June 25, 2018, at Scheurer Longterm Care in Pigeon.

Betty was born September 26, 1939, in Sebewaing, to Arnold and Lillie (Errer) Pobanz. After graduating from High School, she attended Northeastern School of Commerce. She married Franklin H. Koch on June 20, 1958, at the Owendale E.U.B. Church. Betty enjoyed making rag rugs, crocheting, making quilts at church for World Relief, playing piano, cooking, gardening, being an exhibitor at the Thumb Octagon Barn and was a member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Bach.

Betty is survived by her husband, Franklin; children: Deborah (Larry) Quick, Jim (Carol) Koch, and Karen (Rick) Heck; grandchildren: Jennifer (Ken) Lasceski, Kelsey (fiancé Brian Loeffler) Quick, Brad (Lisa) Koch, Beth Koch, Chad (Hannah) Koch, Chris Koch, Sammy (Sean) Clark, Miranda (Adam) Benfer, and Melissa Heck; 3 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Hilda Koch. Predeceased by son-in-law, Willie Czewski.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (Bach). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery (Bach).

Memorial donations may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery Beautification Fund or the American Cancer Society.
