Betty Anne Jones Pudney of Caseville, Michigan passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan. The daughter of Elizabeth and Nathaniel Jones, Betty was born May 2, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; twin brothers Nathaniel and Daniel Jones; son-in-law John Lothian; sisters and brother-in-law Marion and Leslie Gardner, Virginia Jones, and Ruth Jones; and half brothers Lawrence Hugh Jones and John Ernest Jones.

Betty grew up in Detroit where she and her husband Charles lived, worked and raised their family. Betty was employed as a secretary at Detroit Public Schools, also as a guide for Greenfield Village and for many musical organizations and events. She dearly loved music and performing. Retirement years were spent between Caseville and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Betty was a member of the Caseville Library Club, Port Austin Community Players, the Well Spring (Northwestern) Baptist Church (where she and Charles met and were married), and a Life member of The Detroit Federation of Musicians. She attended the Caseville United Methodist Church and the Pigeon First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Shirley (Richard) Eilers of Holley, New York and Charlotte Lothian of Greenville, Michigan; five grandchildren: Heather (Paul) Alday, Hollie (Bo) Stephenson, Maris (R.J.) Brennan, Ryan (Lori) Lothian and Laura (Christian) Dodd; ten great grandchildren: Thomas, Alex, Ethan, Emily, Mason, Sarah, John, Sean, Nicholas and Olivia; niece, Barbara (Neal) Gehring; nephew Nat (Barbara) Jones; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home in Pigeon, Michigan on Thursday, February 24, 2011 beginning at 10 am followed by a Service of Remembrance at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Shirley and Rev. Richard Eilers. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 27, 2011 in the Doig Chapel at Masonic Pathways with Pastor George Ayoub, Masonic Pathways Chaplain, presiding. A time of reflection for family and friends will follow.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Caseville Library Club, Masonic Pathways or to the charity of one's choice.
