Betty Timmins, age 78 years, of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Rendons Young at Heart AFC Home. She was born on October 13, 1927 in Caro and was a lifelong resident and a 1945 graduate of Caro High School. The former Betty Jacot and Jesse Timmins were united in marriage on January 16, 1948 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1998. Until her retirement, Betty had been employed as a Cottage Supervisor at the Caro Regional Center. She was a very active member of the Caro United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed family camping and travel, as well crocheting and knitting. She was especially fond of angels. She is survived by twin sons and one daughter, Terry (Tammie) Timmins of Cass City, Garry (Ronda) Timmins of Caro and Kathy (Robert) Anderson of Vaccaville, California; eight grandchildren and spouse, Eric (Samatha) Timmins, Jason, Sarah, Joshua, Melissa, Abigail, Jessica, Christopher, Patricia, and Anna; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (E.J.) Duncan of Port Saint Lucy, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Tiny. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers and their wives, Theron (Ida) Jacot and Cyril (Edith) Jacot. The funeral will be held at the Caro United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Jerome Smith and Ray Karr officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from Noon until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the Caro United Methodist Church.
