Beverly J. Scherret

Beverly J. Fritz Scherret, age 68, of Bad Axe died Monday, April 23, at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe after a short illness.

She was born April 17, 1944 in Bad Axe to Milton and Verniece (Wiley) Fritz.
In November of 1966, she married Gerald Koroleski in Kinde. After they parted, she then married Edwin Scherret in July 29, 1989 in Elkton. He predeceased her on July 20, 1997.

Beverly graduated from Owendale-Gagetown High School in 1962. Following high school she worked at Owendale Automotive in Owendale for two years, than as custodian at Laker High School for several years, and for 23 years as a teacher’s aide at NEMSCA Head Start in Bad Axe, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton and had been a 4-H Leader many years. Bev enjoyed, crocheting, listening to polka music, playing cards, playing bingo and being with her family and friends.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Tammy Sue Koroleski of Bad Axe; sister-in-law, Connie (Ken) Engelhardt of Owendale; niece, Michelle (Brad) Burk of Owendale; nephew, Kevin (Brenda) Fritz of Mt. Pleasant; great nieces and nephews Kendra (Matt) Strozeski of Harrison Township, Justin and Laecoln Licht of Owendale, Maddison and Makenna Burk of Owendale, Jacob and Isabelle Fritz of Mt. Pleasant; great great nephew and niece, Maeson and Kloei Strozeski of Harrison Township; uncle’s Hazen (Arlene) Fritz of Pigeon, Jim (Em) Wiley of Clio and Bruce (Ruth) Wiley of Georgia; aunt’s Ruth Fritz of Pigeon and Dora Wiley of Rochester Hills; special cousin Karen “Sis” (Dennis) Irion of Pigeon, and several cousins.

Preceding her in death were, a brother Larry D. Fritz, and three uncles, Keith Fritz, Nelson Holland, and Ken Wiley, and two aunts, Ilene Holland and Marilyn Fritz.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 26, at Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton. Rev. William J. O’Nan, pastor will officiate with burial at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Pigeon.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2-9pm at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church at 10AM, Thursday.
