Bill Kovacs of Caro, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Toni and Trish Hospice House in Auburn. He was born December 6, 1933 in Caro, the son of the late Joseph and Mathilda (Horwath) Kovacs. Bill attended Caro High School, and worked at the sheltered workshop in Caro. Bill was an accomplished marble player and won ribbons in Special Olympics. He enjoyed camping, fishing and going out to eat. Bill is survived by his siblings Katherine Fedorchuk of Bradenton, Florida, Margaret Sova of Westland, John and Betty Kovacs of Livonia, Paul Kovacs of Caro, Rose M. and Bruce King of Caro; several nieces and nephews; as well as his Hilltop family. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Francis Kovacs; three sisters, Ethel Tedeschi, Rose Kovacs, Helene Smit and Matilda Weaver; two nephews, Mark and Tom Kovacs; and two nieces, Connie Walker and Carolyn Kovacs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Special Olympics or the donor's favorite charity.
