Billie Baragar Williams

Billie Baragar Williams of Caro, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 7, 2025. Billie was born March 21, 1946 in Cheyboygan, the daughter of the late Willis and Marguritte (Davis) Baragar. Billie began her career at Bronner’s in Frankenmuth before pursuing her passion for nursing. After becoming a Registered Nurse, she dedicated many years of service to the Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. A devoted animal lover, Billie especially cherished her cats and took great joy in rescuing and rehoming them, ensuring each found a loving place to belong prior to her passing. She delighted in simple joys such as artificial flowers, seasonal decorations, and the quiet satisfaction of tending to her yard. Billie was a devoted and generous caretaker to her dear friend, Lynda Hoban, prior to her passing in 2023.

Left to cherish Billie’s memory are a niece, Amy LaCott; great-niece, Katelyn LaCott; grandson, Brandon Williams; special friend, Eugene Hoban; and many beloved Caro-area friends. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by a son, Mark Williams; and three sisters.

In keeping with Billie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held on her family plot in Afton, Michigan. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Humane Society.
