Billy E. Bollinger, 89, of Caseville, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Billy was born in Bollinger County, Missouri on November 8, 1927 to the late Earl and Ethel Bollinger. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He married Martha Uelsmann on July 3, 1947 in Cape Giradeau, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2003.
Billy moved to the Detroit area in 1968 and worked for A.O. Smith as an engineer. In 1989 he moved from Royal Oak to Caseville. In retirement he was able to enjoy boating, animals and helping people however he was able. He was a proud member of the Caseville Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he served many years as Chaplain.
He is survived by his granddaughter USAF Technical Sergeant Andy (Raven) Conwaly-Paul of Arizona; sister Betty (Leo) Clements of Illinois; brother Richard (Mary) Bollinger of Missouri; son-in-law Rusty Paul of Virginia; and sister-in-law Barbara Bollinger of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his wife Marty, daughter Alta Paul, son Mark, and companion Linda Yantiss.
A memorial gathering (BIG PARTY) will be at 6:00pm Friday, June 9th at the Caseville Eagles Club, 7017 East Park Street, Caseville. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be shared at www.cfcCaseville.com
