Bonnie Kay Sochocki of Caro, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 16, 2021. Bonnie was born April 6, 1951 in Flint, the daughter of the late Donald & Gladys Zae (Vanderkarr) Easlick. She grew up in the Flint area until moving with her parents to Mayville in 1965. Bonnie graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1969 and was united in marriage the following year with Daniel Sochocki. Bonnie spent the early years of her marriage caring for her home and raising the three children that she and Dan were blessed with. She would later work at McDonald's, Wendy's, and the Village of Caro as a meter maid. Bonnie was a faithful member of the Caro VFW Auxiliary and loved playing Bingo any chance she could. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years, baking, sewing, fishing, and trips up north to Glennie. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of over fifty years, Daniel Sochocki of Caro; three children, Daniel Roy Sochocki of Sebewaing, Jennifer Kay Sochocki of Caro, Shari Raye Teneyuque and her husband, Adam, of Caro; five grandchildren, Dante Michael Sochocki, Devon Ray Sochocki, Zachary Valentine Sochocki, Adam Ray Teneyuque, Jade Desaraye Teneyuque; four siblings and their spouses, Juanita & Don Beringer of Davison, Donald Mark & Trina Easlick III of North Branch, Darril & Cindy Easlick of Clio, Nettie Wilson of Lapeer; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Susan Marie & Bryan Muska of Caro, Patricia Ann & Bill Dorman of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by one sister, Judith Freeman; and one brother-in-law and his wife, Gerald "Woody" & Linda Sochocki. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro VFW Post 4164.
