Bonnie J. Volz

Bonnie J. Volz, age 71, of Sebewaing, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at McLaren Bay Special Care in Bay City.

Bonnie was born October 13, 1946, in Bay City, to Howard and Elaine (Overmill) Grew. She graduated from Bay City Central in 1964. She took some college courses at Delta College and worked 12 ½ years at Saginaw Steering Gear. On March 21, 1974, she married Gary Volz at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She enjoyed antiques, cooking, canning, gardening, playing with her dogs, loved animals, and was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Gary A.; children: Daniel (Jennifer) Volz of Ney, OH and Angelia Volz of San Diego, CA; 2 grandchildren: Caleb Daniel Volz and Noah Dale Volz; sisters: Diana (Gary) Kock, Pat (John) Kerkau, Michelle (Dan) Yogiela and Judy (Sam) Ruesegger; and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Ron And Don Grew.

Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 3-8pm.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
