Boyd A. Buschlen

Boyd Alan Buschlen, 54, of Bad Axe, died Friday, December 28, 2018 in his home.

Boyd was born December 16, 1964 in Pigeon to Calvin “Joe” and Ann (McCormick) Buschlen. He grew up in Elkton and graduated from Laker High School in 1983. He spent four years at Central Michigan University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He worked many years at Star of the West Milling Company. He was a hardworking man who, when not at work, helped out his parents and in the summer enjoyed taking family and friend on boat rides. He also enjoyed hunting and taking care of the family farm.

He is survived by his daughter Erica (Ross) Nolan of Swartz Creek, parents Calvin “Joe” and Ann Buschlen of Elkton; brother Robert of Macomb, and nephew Robert Jr. of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Buschlen who died in August 2018.

A memorial service and luncheon will be at 11:30 Monday, January 7th at the Franklin Inn in Bad Axe with Rev. Bryan Spooner officiating. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the services. Memorials may be made to the family.
