Bradley Cameron Grady

Bradley Cameron Grady of Akron, age 65, lost his courageous battle with mental health on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Brad was born July 6, 1956 in Caro, the son of the late Max & Jessie (Van Allen) Grady, and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1974 and attended college in Battle Creek. Brad was united in marriage with Karen Rohlfs on May 8, 1976 in Caro, and the couple was blessed with two sons. Brad's life was devoted to his family, and he was always ready with an honest answer to life's difficult questions when his children needed them. More recently, he was an adoring grandfather. Although private by nature, those that knew Brad most recall his quick wit, pranks, and deep wisdom. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed time spent at the family cabin in Lewiston. Brad enjoyed gardening and was proud to have built a home for his family and remodeled another. Although his departure is different than hoped, his legacy and spirit lives in those that he loved, and those that loved him back. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Grady of Akron; two sons and their spouses, Ben & Amy Grady of Fairgrove, Jonathan & Megan Grady of Essexville; six grandchildren, Carson, Corinne, Sybil, Lucille, Avery, and Jace; four siblings and their spouses, Colin & Carol Grady of Holland, Carmen & John Johnson of Franklin, Tennessee, Mark & Jennifer Grady of Doyle, Tennessee, Jane Grady of Holland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Brad was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, Devere & Marjorie Rohlfs. Private family services will be held. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Suicide Resource & Response Network, PO Box 6712, Saginaw, MI 48608.
