Brenda K Brakenberry

Brenda K. Brakenberry, age 55, of Colfax Twp. died Saturday, February 21, at her home following a possible heart attack.

She was born September 3, 1959, in Bad Axe to Russell and Erma (Dubs) Hazard. Brenda grew up on a farm in Colfax Twp. and was a 1977 Laker High School graduate.

On October 22, 1977, she was united in marriage to Ronald E Brakenberry at the Elkton Missionary Church. They made their home just down the road from where she grew up.

After raising her children, she took a job at Active Feed Company, Pigeon for several years and then at Walbro Corporation, Cass City where she is currently employed for over 22 years.
Brenda attended the Elkton Missionary Church and enjoyed doing crafts and looking after her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Ron, two children, Jeremy (Melinda) Brakenberry of Mt. Pleasant and Sandra (Kyle) Gradowski of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Jerzie, Van, Cohen and Devyn; her parents, Russ and Erma Hazard of Colfax Twp and siblings, Ken (Laura) Hazard of Leesburg, FL and Lori (Justin) London of Pigeon.
Preceding her in death was a son, Nathan.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, February 26, at the Elkton Missionary Church with burial in Colfax Twp. Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM Wednesday and at the church after 10 AM Thursday.
Memorials may be given to Elkton Missionary Church or the donor’s choice.
